This week we are making our way through Chapter two. It is about expressing our likes and dislikes and things we do in our spare time.
We will have our Chapter 2 Test on Wednesday September 7th. So students should start reviewing now. Some of the things we are working on this week are:

This week we finished up and reviewd Chapter 1 about greetings and the classroom and then we started on Chapter 2 about likes and dislikes.
TN State Standards we covered were standard 1,2,3 and 4 We also had our first chapter test which included a listening, and speaking portion. This was also our first time having the weekly quiz grade for weebly.com. New topics we covered this week were:
Just a reminder about Skyward grades; if a student misses and assignment the missing grade automatically shows up as a 0. Once students turn in their makeup work the 0 will be replaced by their new grade. However, if the work is never made up the 0 will stay and could seriously bring down their semester average. Remember the chapter 1 test is tomorrow! Please study
You can use any of the useful links provided on this site to help you study. The test will cover all the topics we have gone over in class. You can find them below... Also, make sure you check memrise (www.memrise.com) to see if you can log in. Your first set of points are due on FRIDAY! Chapter 1 TEST next Tuesday the 22nd!
This week students were doing a lot more speaking and listening in French. We were able to use all 5 TN state learning standards for foreign language in class this week. We covered:
Students will be required to log study time on www.memrise.com you can find the links on the useful links page above. They will earn a weekly quiz grade for this time by earning points. Their point goal is 15,000 points a week. After our first full week students have already learned a lot!

Students also already have a grade, it is for their first quiz, over the verbs Avoir and Etre. Learning French takes practice, so try to review a little bit every night! Get ready for an exciting year of learning French!
